Every mock follows the current GRE General Test: one essay, then two Verbal and two Quant sections. Each section has its own timer, and time doesn't carry over.

From correct answers to 130–170
Verbal and Quant are scored separately. In each, your correct answers across the two sections (27 questions) form a raw score, converted to the 130–170 scale.
The second section decides how high you can go. After a hard second section the scale reaches 170; after an easier one it stops at 157. On the fixed-form mocks the second section is set; on the adaptive practice test it depends on your first section (7 or more right out of 12 opens the hard one), as on the real test.
Your dashboard estimate weighs your three most recent mocks of the last 60 days (3, 2, 1), and, once you have 20 or more recent practice answers in a measure, blends in your practice accuracy for a quarter of the estimate.

ETS offers two free POWERPREP tests. They are the closest thing to test day: take one early and one near the end. Use Scaled for everything in between: more full mocks, the questions you missed coming back, and the words.
